The master of inner voices: Katsaris’ new take on the Fantasie Impromptu

Thought you’d heard Chopin’s Fantasie Impromptu Op 66 played in every conceivable manner over the years?!

Just in case you missed it (it’s from a 200th Anniversary concert in 2010), have a listen to all the new inner voices that Katsaris unearths… especially in the return to the main theme. Don’t worry – if you know the piece, you can’t miss them!

If you’re not familiar with Katsaris, aside from being a brilliant pianist (and looking a bit like Krusty the Clown), he has a certain knack for finding all the great hidden voices in pieces – his Chopin Fantasie Op 49 is a case in point.

Enjoy!
